Well it is almost that time again. I have given over the turkey cooking to my daughter and granddaughter. I am sick of doing it every year. We will be 16 and everyone brings something or helps in some way. It makes it more fun. We have had pretty much the same meal for 45 yrs and we don't like to change. My sister makes corn pudding, my cousin makes slaw with Ramen noodles, I make killer dressing, someone brings veges,I love the Thanksgiving mashed potatoes from the Silver Palate
This year I have made napkins from fabric samples and bits. I think they look pretty good but I am not finished yet.

lucky?
I guess I am very lucky. I don't live in Birmingham, I have Social Security and my cat only bites me occasionally. I have many friends and my health and I can watch the wedding if I feel like it.
Life is good

Well, my birthday is past and I am still here! Yesterday was the flee mkt in Alameda where my friends and I meet the first Sunday of every (almost) month to find "treasures" and look at the sights...we then come back to my house for a pot luck lunch and to examine each others finds. This retired life is full of fetes and fun! Who would have thunk it???
